Annette Fischer

Annette Fischer was born and raised in Arbon. After finishing her Swiss upper-secondary school leaving certificate in Romanshorn, she moved to Bern, where she completed higher education as a biomedical lab technician at the Inselspital hospital. She then took on a position in tumour research before working at a medical practice and a private lab in the Canton of Aargau. Her first daughter was born in Brugg. A further relocation led her back to Switzerland’s capital where her second daughter was born. The family lived for several more years in Bern before moving back to Arbon.

After working for several years at the cantonal hospital in St. Gallen, Annette Fischer undertook further education as a multimedia producer. This new direction led to positions in the insurance industry and in online business. Annette Fischer was a member of the Helvetia art commission, where she learned a great deal about contemporary art. Her love of colour and art inspired her to complete further training as a colour designer at the Textilfachschule St. Gallen. Annette Fischer has worked in an honorary capacity in a cultural association, an art commission in Tübach and a rowing club in Arbon.

Annette Fischer worked for several years at St. Gallen’s abbey library in ticket and shop sales. She then joined the J. S. Bach St. Gallen AG in mid-November 2023 as maternity cover for Nathalie Flepp.

Annette Fischer has lived in the city of St. Gallen for several years. In her leisure time she enjoys cultural pursuits such as going to the theatre, the cinema and concerts, as well as outdoor activities such as hiking and rowing. She likes cooking, city trips and travelling by bicycle in the warmer months of the year. In summer 2023 she resumed flute playing and joined a small music ensemble.
