Sarah Abrigada grew up in Uster, in the rolling countryside of the Canton of Zurich. After earning her university-entry certificate (Swiss Matura), she studied voice and voice pedagogy at the Zurich University of the Arts. Her fascination for voice – a part of her life since her childhood – then led her to Denmark, where she completed a three-year programme as a Complete Vocal Technique Coach. She then went on to earn a master’s degree in Speech Communication and Rhetoric at the University of Regensburg in Germany. Today, she is active as a singer, vocal coach and choir director and greatly values having the opportunity to work with the human voice every day.
For the past several years, Sarah Abrigado has lived in the city of St. Gallen. In her leisure time, she enjoys attending concerts and spending time with family, friends and her little dog, Chili.
Since 2019, she has been in charge of Digital Management at the J.S. Bach Foundation, where her responsibilities include external communications for the Foundation as well as maintaining digital channels. She is dedicated to further increasing the international visibility of the Foundation and introducing young – and young at heart – music lovers to the extraordinary oeuvre of Johann Sebastian Bach.
