The "reflection lecture" on the cantata text is an essential part of each concert by the J. S. Bach Foundation. These lectures are given by personalities from the spheres of economics, culture, politics, science and religion who lend their personal and contemporary perspective to the baroque texts of the various poets and theologists.  Each year, the reflection lectures are collected and published together with the cantata texts and theological references in the Bach Anthology.
